I have a Haywood Super Pump 1HP and my wife noticed the pump was not coming on. The circuit breaker was not tripped and the pump just would not come on or even make a humming sound. I reset the circuit breaker to see if that would help, but nothing...the pump just seemed dead. I read this thread about cleaning the centrifugal switch. After cleaning the contacts on the switch I reset the circuit breaker and my pump came back to life. Reading this thread probably saved me a lot of $$$....thanks for posting!!!
