Researched many diff brands and styles. Budget 1k. Replaced a Polaris 360. Local pool store had an Aquabot Turbo T Jet that i got to take home and try out. After having unit 2 weeks, i was impressed and bought one for $499 from local pool store (Black Friday deal). I like the idea of dropping unit in when i want to clean vs having a unit run every time the pool pump is on (polaris). Aquabot is simple in design and not alot of expensive parts to replace. Does climb walls and it picks up sand\dirt with the fine bag. Cleaned my pool 16x34 in 1.5hrs. :-D

I couldn't agree with you more. After going to a robot, it pains me to imagine how much electricity I went through running the pump just to keep my suction side cleaner going. I love my robot!

What type of surface do you have? I am under the impression that vinyl isn't friendly to robots (or really the reverse).
