Solid cover - hurricane - will it be ok with 8in of rain?

We took everything in from outside and looks like we will likely lose power
There is already a bunch of rain water on it. We have a solid safety cover. Will it be able to hold a hurricane amount of rain? I know the commercials/ads show it hold elephants but just making sure we will be ok or is there something else we should do.

It should be fine. If you lose power about the only thing you can do once the storm passes is siphon off some of the water. If your pool has an overflow it'll get rid of anything that runs in the pool.
