Rusty Skimmer Screws

Hi all,

I just had my pool installed a few weeks back, and already all the screws (on the inside of the pool) that hold on the skimmer are all rusty. I'm thinking of calling the pool company to complain - but just wanted to check with you guys first to see if this is "normal" or not.

It is wrong, but it is common enough. All the screws should be a reasonably good grade of stainless steel but some of them turn out to be something cheaper and inappropriate on a fairly regular basis.

No, they should not be rusty. If the dealer won't help, do a search for them.

Replace them as soon as you can.

Skimmers, light niches, and ladders seem to be the most common areas where substandard screws are used and it seems to be equally common in both AG and IG pools.
