Help With Valves

Hi guys... Total noob here. Would anyone be able to decipher which valves are for what in the attached picture? I am trying to figure two things...

1. How the valves should be aligned for normal pool function and automatic cleaning.

2. How the valves should be aligned for spa use.

Need more info and more pictures.
What kind of cleaner?
Suction side looks pretty normal, but can not tell what all is going on for the return side.

How many different return routes are there and for what?
