I remember a few years ago a friend found a type of "Duck Bill" type returns that he put on and blew out his lines from his pump pad out, they worked like a check valve and only let the water/air out into the pool and then closed and did not allow pool water back in...Anyone have any experience/thoughts on them?? Cant seem to find them on the net either ??

My local pool store here in London, ON carries them but I have never used them. I was tempted this year but I had already drained my pool below the returns when I saw them in the store.

I don't know why but I just feel safer with a plug. $7 for a duck bill and who knows how much for an Ice Damaged return??? It gets pretty cold up her though -20C.
