Closing/Replacing liner

I will be replacing my pool's liner in the spring. Should I worry about my water chem levels since I will be emptying the water for a new liner?

Also, is it important to keep water in the pool during the winter. I have heard 'stories' of pools lifting out of the ground and plumbing being damaged when emptying a pool over the winter. I am not planning on draining it completely but didn't know if I might harm anything by not taking the levels back up to the inlets after blowing them out.

A liner pool will not lift but should not be drained anyway. Winterize as normal (except no reason to use any algaecide or chlorine), drain and refill with your new liner in the Spring.
