I am going to be closing my new pool for the first time and I'm not sure how to handle the cover. I have an oval abg and only one half (long side) has a deck butted up to it; the other side of the pool has nothing against it. I bought a standard winter cover but it dawned on me that the wire cord or the clips won't work on the deck side of the pool. Any suggestions?

I have attached a hook on each side of my deck for the wire to hook/tie into on each side. Has worked fine for 3 seasons.

I do the same as dmanb2b and for the section by the deck (20 feet in my case) I pull the cover between the deck and pool then use ropes and bungees to hold it taught.
