I will be leaving my pool on auto while I'm gone for two weeks.
FC 4
TC 4
Ph 7.8
Alk 110
CYA 80
CA 250

I wanted to lower Alkalinity down to 90-100 and the only way I think I know is to aerate using my waterfall.
So what I want to do is lower Alk using the water fall while i'm gone.
Is this correct?

Other than my pH rising while I'm gone because I won't be adding any acid will I have any other concerns?
Maybe I should add 1/2 gal of acid before I leave?

You should lower the PH before you leave.

Leaving the waterfall on while you are away could result in the PH getting too high, which could cause scaling or other problems. I would lower the PH now, leave the waterfall off, and deal with TA when you get back.

Just drop your pH to 7.0 and let it rise on it's own while you are away. If you want to know how much this lowered your TA then just test it once the ph is 7.0. It will stay there.
