Advice on pool cover

We are not planning on “winterizing” our pool during the winter months. It just does not get cold enough here to warrant that. However, we have several large oak trees and the leaves make a huge mess every year. So I am thinking that some type of net cover would be a good idea. All of the net covers state that they go over a winter cover, but we are not using a winter cover.

Would it still work? I am hoping I can find something that I can pull tight over the pool so that it is not touching the water and maybe use bungee cords attached to hooks to hold it down.

Any suggestions?

It should work as net covers are designed to be tight off the other winter cover to keep leaves from getting wet
