What do you do with the light over the winter??

This year we replaced the light in our in laws pool. In the past we always removed the light each winter, leaving it on the deck over the winter.

This year I'd like to just leave the light in the niche over the winter. Will this cause any issues over the winter? The water seldom freezes in the Ohio temps....but you never really know.

If it rarely freezes you can leave it in. I will pull a light out if the light is mounted high on the pool wall and will definitely be in the ice formation zone
