16 x 32 inground circa 1973. Fiberglass tub. 1 deep end skimmer, 1 shallow end suction, 1 deep end return, 1 shallow end return. 8 ft deep slopping sides, 3 ft shallow end. No floor drain. 1 1/2 piping. Orig pump .75 hp. Last 15 yrs using old 1 hp ITT Marlow found at yard sale. Impeller needs rebuild but thinking of just replacing due to efficiency/parts availability.
Any suggestions?

I would go with a small two speed. Here are a few of my favorites that would work well with your setup:

Pentair SF-N2-3/4A (115v)
Pentair SF-N2-1A (230v)
Hayward Super Pump SP2607X102S (230v)

Energy costs. Low speed uses about 75% less energy than high speed or a single speed pump. However, it has about half the flow rate so you need to run it twice as long but you still net a 50% reduction in energy use.
