I have a FG pool w/ceramic tile. Upon opening 2 weeks ago, about 18 tiles have pea-sized chips in them. The tiles are blue and the chips obviously show the inside of the tile, which is white. It doesn't look that bad.

Rather than replacing the chipped tiles this season, I want to just dab some matched blue paint on the white chips. Any suggestions on what kind of paint I should use, keeping in mind safety for swimmers and ability for paint to withstand chlorine.

Can I just go to Home Depot and get an exterior tile paint ?

Thanks to SeanB for this site and the mods here and at the PF.

I've touched up ceramic floor tile with automotive touchup paints with impressive results. With their being so many colors available you can no doubt get a close match, plus it's very durable paint. I haven't used it in a pool but suspect it would hold up quite well to chlorine.
