Did I read here awhile back that there is a "dummy" T-Cell? Looking for something to put in-line when I remove the T-Cell for cleaning, winter, etc. Search didn't reveal anything for dummy. Thanks!

I am in winterizing mode now.... seems as if this can be made cheaper using sch 40 components from the hardware store...

The unions are non-standard, so unless you cut out the whole thing you won't be able to use normal parts.
for $40 I think I might attach standard unions in front and behind it. What is the real purpose though? When I remove one of these for the winter I use the opening in the union to blow through. Is this only a problem when using an air compressor maybe? Even if you buy this to run the pool while cleaning the cell, how long are you really cleaning for 30 min?
