brick punches vinyl

I set my pool post on brick pavers. One paver per pole. After heavy rains one of the bricks slipped upward on the inside and punched a hole in the vinyl. We have heavy red clay soil. Some of the bricks and poles have sunk just a little. I am in the process of emptying the pool to get the brick out without further damage to the vinyl. My question is do I really need bricks under the poles. I think during the heavy rains the pool shifted a little which cause the brick to slip.
I am torn about the bricks now since this has happened.

I am assuming this is an intex type pool? If it is, some people have used deck boards instead of bricks or pavers. Others have dug their pavers in to be flush with the ground. With that said, I have seen many of the intex pools with nothing under their legs that have worked, but I have seen some that have sunk too.
