Jandy Check Valve Socket Depth

I am planning a plumbing modification and need to know the socket depth for a Jandy 2/2.5" straight check valve. I found a post on the forum which shows the overall valve length as 6.5" but also need to know the depth of the pipe socket on each side.

Inch and a quarter on each side. Since the check is 6.5", cut a 4" space.

Thanks for the reply. I was going to install the valve this morning but a bad thunderstorm came through. Maybe it will clear up later and I can get it done.
