I've decided to purchase a Tahitian 33' round and have been told to get

1. .5 HP Hayward "Super" pump, mfg. model #SP2600X5

2. 22" Hayward "Pro" sand filter, mfg. model #SP220T

3. Hayward 1.5" "Vari-flo" multiport valve, mfg. model "SP071113

4. Cord set 25' long, mfg. model "SPX1550WA

Can someone tell me if these are right and would they be adequate for the pool I have chosen. Opinions and advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a bunch, Donna

Welcome to TFP!

That looks like a reasonable combination to me.

You might want to think about getting a larger filter. You current filter is fine. A larger filter would reduce the frequency of backwashing and slightly improve the efficiency of the entire system. It will be fine either way, but the improvement in connivence of the larger filter and water saved by reduced backwashing might be worth it in the long run.

Now I can buy!

Thank you so much. This will be my first AGP. Want to do it right. I am so thankful to have found this website. I am going to purchase the TF100 test kit. Will be coming back again and again, I've got a lot to learn. Once again, thank you so much. You guys are great!!!
