Pentair VF De-Rated?

I saw a reference on another forum about the VF being down-rated recently from 160 GPM to 130 GPM. I can't however find and backup for this statement. Anybody have any insight on this? If so, would this also hold true for the VS?

I have never seen Pentair claiming 160 GPM for either IntelliFlo, or 130 GPM for that matter. Their pump curves go out to around 147 GPM under ideal conditions. In any given install you are unlikely to reach that ideal flow rate. 130 GPM is a more realistic guess at what can be reliably and efficiently achieved in real world situations.

Point taken -- I was more concerned with a reduction than the specific numbers. I fully agree that theoretical maximums mean nothing -- I must merge my specific pool specs (head) with the curve. Thanks.
