Should the pressure go up?

I have read several posts about backwashing once the pressure goes up a certain percentage.
It doesnt look like my pressure has gone up at all in probably 2 months.

The only problem that I have had is a little air from return jets. I have tried everything and cant get rid
of the small bubbles and jet hesitation. I have a ticket in with the pb. I discussed that issue in the thread below.

Could they be related? Is something wrong if my pressure is not going up over time?

I think if there is any air in the filter it can mess with the gauge readings.

Does the gauge go to zero when the pump is off?

If your pool doesn't get a lot of dust in it, it's possible it doesn't need cleaning yet.

It does go to zero when off.

In that case - don't worry about it and do a backwash if/when you close down for the season. I live in the woods and keep a pretty close check on mine.
