According to the pool store I also my phosphates are 1000

I had my aqualine chlorinator set at 24% which is clearly too high. I dialed it down to 15% in an attempt to find the sweet spot. I have a vinyl pool, how troublesome is the Calcium Hardness?

How low do I need the TA to be to stop the requirement of muriatic acid every three days? Thanks.

Ignore phosphates. If you keep your FC at the appropriate level, then phosphates do not matter.

Our recommendation for swg's is 60-80 ppm TA which works for most pools. See: http://www.troublefreepool.com/pool-school/water_balance_saltwater_generator

Generally not a problem though high CH combined with high TA and high ph in some cases can cause scaling and cloudiness.
