Plaster material has shown up in our vacuum bag. Do I need to go ahead and add calcium? Will that prevent this for happening? What about alkalinity. Fix that at the same time?

Thanks for the quick reply...

According to the pool calc...
Add 15 oz washing soda to bring pH up to 7.5
Add 176oz baking soda to bring TA to 100
Add 289 oz calcium chloride to raise CH to 260

Do I put all these things in at once?
Figures sound on target?

The baking soda will have some affect on the pH ... and the washing soda will have some affect on the TA.

I would suggest raising the CH to 300, TA to about 80ppm and pH to 7.5

The CH can be done any time, but I think you are best to adjust the pH before the TA ... note that the changing 1 affects the estimates of what you have to add to change the other.

Numbers don't look quite right. I think it went to the default 10,000 gallons, not your 15000. I'd work things one at a time, as Jason said. pH first. Do it when you have time to brush the pool to mix things. And probably give things an hour to mix, if not more, before retesting and adding the next.
