That post was great. I thought of removing the impeller, but I wanted a cleaner installation. There was a link on that page for an adapter. That's exactly what I was looking for. I thought of using an intex wall strainer but then I would really have to modified the bottom hole on the strainer.

Hey billglass. I have 2 pumps on my ProSeries pool. The stock pump, and my Intex sand filter/pump. I cut the liner to do this. If you're interested I can send you the link to the thread.

My neighbor had a contact cement for vinyl. Apparently you can buy this stuff at hardware stores.
