Intelitouch remote reading sensor error- solar

We are in the process of getting our home painted. Today when I got home the remote is reading sensor error- pool solar sensor

How can I trouble shoot this before I need to call out the pool repair guy.

Usually that means the sensor has been disconnected. Follow the wire from the control unit to the solar sensor on the roof. Perhaps the painters have broken the wire or pulled it out.

You shouldn't have to reset anything, however, if you're splicing the wire back together make sure you use waterproof connectors (the sensors really don't like added resistance in the circuit-ruins their whole day, and makes their readings inaccurate)
