Hello there, i have a issue with filter, maybe you can help out...
The treads for the pressure release valve on top are stripped a little.
I can get a small turn but if i tighten down it'll loose the 'bite'
My worry is the pressure will shoot the valve possibly hurting some one or shooting off when im not home and draining pool.
Im trying to think of it like metal threads, if stripped, just weld up, drill and tap.
Would that be that be possible with some kind of jb weld or somthing similar?
hey thanks for any help

My bet is it's the black assembly that is stripped and that can simply be ordered as a separate item.
Screw it in, screw in the gauge, screw in the relief screw and you're good to go.

You could drill out the hole and use a bulkhead fitting.

Hot Dang think that might do the trick, just have to figure out the thread pitch, might not have to drill if i can find right diameter, just file the remaining threads down.

bulkhead fitting $4.99 vs. new filter top $170

thanks again guys, knew this pace would be helpful. :whoot:

ps What do you prefer, teflon tape or those puddy sticks?
