Sphagnum Moss???

So...strangely enough, I found this info while researching potting soil mixes for my Citrus trees. Thought I'd copy/paste it over here for comments. I'm not really considering it, just seemed like an interesting subject.

Could you pour sphagnum moss into your skimmers and supplement your sand or cartridge filter like you use DE? All I envision is brown dust floating all around the pool...

Mostly nonsense. It can help inhibit biofilms, but can't really do most of the other things attributed to it. If you are maintaining your pool properly biofilms won't form in the first place, which makes it kind of pointless, not to mention expensive.
