do I added my de about a hour ago and the starting psi was 14 now its at 18 anything I need to do?

Sounds like backwash and then add some more DE to me. That's more than a 25% increase in pressure.

According to the article in Pool School, you can expect a rapid rise in pressure because it's really clearing out the superfine stuff the sand missed.

ok so its supposed to be high I did backwash it a little last night but this morning it is so nice and sparkling clear

The pool was not clean it was cloudy with a little green

Green and cloudy means you need to do the shocking process.
