Started deck build--finally!!

It's been quite a week. With a snapped ladder nearly taking out my liner earlier in the week, only a patch kit has saved us. For $7 bucks, 5 gaping holes have been repaired and kept kids swimming into this heat wave.
Instead of draining 15,000gal of water, and replacing the liner, I got to start the deck.
Just got started--still have a ways to go.
Planned for a 27'x26' deck. Didn't look too big, until I stood up on the ledger board--starting to wonder if it's too big now???

That sir, is a big deck - do it!
You may regret it while your building but I doubt you will once it's done. That deck will fill up so fast with tables, chairs, people, pool toys, etc etc etc.
The bigger - the better!

Yep, you'd be amazed at how fast it will fill up. 6 years ago I demo'ed a concrete drive and put down a brick patio. 13x16 and I thought that was ginormous. My wife has been bugging me ever since to make it bigger.
