Pool vac circles/twists the tubing

Pool vac goes in circles last few days, and twists the flex tubing. had new A frame put on say, a year ago, and new shoes. Flaps appear good still, and not worn to the indicator edges. Any tips on what I should check? I can take apart if necessary.....

OK, update: checked the psi guage on sand filter and it shows only about 11-12 psi. maybe the problem? I have 5 sections of flex hayward vac tubing. I heard you need 5 psi for each section (?). Could this be my problem, people?

vac seems OK (I took it apart, although, no expert). No "destroyed" parts. Cleaned basket ( was not bad). Tips appreciated.

Is that the pressure before or after hooking up the vacuum?

Is this a pressure or suction side vacuum?
