Pump run time

Found it. OK check my math here

I have a 14,000 gallon pool. A 1.5HP pump (nothing says its gpm) but as far as I can estimate based on similar pumps is 60-80gmp. Lets estimate on the low side. 60.
14000/60 = 233.33 minutes of run time. Divide that by 60 minutes in an hour 3.8 hours.

I plan to run it 6 hours a day. Probably in 2, 3 hour timer sessions.

Does this seem logical for a 24' x 52" round pool?

You can not read the gpm for your pool of a chart. It is a function of your plumbing and equipment ... And not simple to calculate.

Just run your pump for 6 hours if you like and if it does not seem clean enough then up the time. Flow rate is generally not very important
