Too much salt

Somehow I must have added too much salt. According to my aqua check strips I am getting a reading of 7.6 which is over the max limit of 7100 ppm stated on labels directions. My salt generator runs max efficiently @4000ppm. Do I need to drain some water or just leave it.

The FC is steady @ 4ppm

Is your SWCG happy or mad? If SWCG is happy, no worries. But, if it is mad, then you gotta replace some water.

Well the water looks great. The fc is where I want it. I know I am happy. I guess what I am asking is could it damage the cell with a reading that high?

If your swg isn't complaining I suspect a test error. 7100 ppm would not be good for your swg if it really was that high.

Answer BF's question about whether your swg is showing any lights or warnings.

Well I must of had a bad strip. I tested 2 more times and I am getting 4600. My swg max is 4000. So I guess it's good
