Once you start the shock process you should be running the pump 24/7 (assuming your filter does not clog up overnight).
For 24k gallons, I see 5 gallons getting you up to around 28ppm. You then need to start testing every hour or so and adding more FC to keep it up at shock level.
I can't stay here overnight I think my pool is closer to 28-30k gallons. Also, I only have 8 gallons of CL now so it may not be enough for this process. I'll pick some up tomorrow.
Ok the pool plans say that it's a 24k gallon pool, the store has the same thing on file. The spa that falls over into the pool doesn't add much I'm assuming.
The water has been always clear, after I added the 5 gallons it took on a green tint but was still clear. The tint went away as the day went on and I have added three gallons since the first five. Just tested prior to the last gallon and it had 15fc
