One of the plunger valves is leaking when the pump cuts off

We just installed the Intex Sand Filter to our Summer Escapes 15ft pool. One of the plunger valves is leaking when the pump cuts off. Any idea why it's leaking? I'd hate to have to close the valve and turn the pump off all the time. Was hoping to use the timer but if we do that, when the timer is done and the pump cuts off then water comes out of the plunger.

I had a similar issue and it ended up being the lower O-ring on the plunger itself had come off.

Yeah we took it off and pulled out the the plunger and it seems the factor put a faulty o-ring on it. It was too big and crimped. Going to get a new o-ring in the morning and that should fix the problem. Thankfully my husbands work has this size(about 1 1/2") because we couldn't find them at Lowes.
