New pool liner? Set up?

Our liner needs replaced for our 24' AGP, all I can seem to find is 20 mil and this last liner only lasted 3 years and it was 20 mil. Is there something better I should be looking for?

Would also love tips on smoothing out the bottom prior to laying the new liner and any other helpful tips for relining!

What happened to the liner that it only lasted 3 years? Could this be a warranty issue?

Well about that... LOL. There was something poking in the bottom of it and I said to my husband hey look at this, and being him he had to mess with it to try to see what it was and the whole corner just split. It wasn't funny because it's "my" pool, I take care of it and everything else, everyone else just uses it basically, but it was like the flood gates opened and I think it was one of those things where if I didn't laugh I'd cry. I will have to see about warranty on it!
