The program for my pool cleaner kicked on today and ran for about 45 minutes without the cleaner in the pool.
I have a Kreepy Krauly Platinum pool cleaner and a booster pump for the pressure cleaner. My main pool pump is an IntelliFlo vs-3050.
The booster pump was making a horrible noise.
Have I cause damage to something?

If the main pump was running it'll probably be fine. Have you hooked the cleaner up and tried it?

No, I have not hooked up the cleaner. I was very concerned that I had damaged my main pump for the future.

Go ahead and hook it up. It would be almost impossible to ruin the main pump that way as long as it had water going to it. You could have hurt the booster pump but even that isn't likely.
