It is satisfying knowing a little more about how the chemicals interact. Interestingly enough my wife said a couple of years ago that maybe bleach could work as a chlorine tab replacement but I was concerned because of the kids swimming. Now I find out it's fine and she is giving me one of those I told ya smiles!!
