Do I need a Check\backflow preventer valve

Bought foreclosure, and Ozone thingy didn't work threw it out, and the mineral thingy no good removed it, so moving my SF, and pump to slightly new location after i pour concrete for it, cleaning up the whole set-up do I need to add a check valve, and where would one normally put it. After the Heater on the return side?

Can anyone identify my heater model I cant read any of the stickers on it

I removed the length of PVC that connected the Ozone pipe, and the mineral box, added straight piece of PVC from the Heater to the return line.

would my check valve go there, and before or after a SWG if I add one?

Circled in red are the Ozone pipe, and the mineral box. the white on the other pic is where the straight piece of PVC is now.
