Are my test results even close to where they need to be??

Hello everyone....

Here are my results from tonight....

FC: 6
TA: 110
Cya: 50
Ph: 7.9-8 (that is taken with OTO drop kit from Walmart as I realized I had the T-50 test kit)
CC: 0 (from this morning and this evening)

Water is clear, temp about 82 with a little dirt in the bottom (always in West Texas).......

I know "how" to lower my ph.....but what I don't know is how to "KEEP IT DOWN"???
Can someone respond with advice on where my results are???

Your results look decent. Your ph is high, you can keep adding acid when ph goes up to 7.8 to bring it back down to 7.2 and this will slowly lower TA which should slow down your ph rise. You can lower TA more quickly using this approach: http://www.troublefreepool.com/pool-school/lowering total alkalinity

I believe your pH will tend to rise to 7.8ish due to having a SWG. Lowering your TA might help to slow down the rise.
