stains in pool

i have had my 18x48 Intex pool since last year and this year i have notice brown spots, some long, others spotty. We have the salt water system and i have tried scrubbing the area and can't budge the what i am calling stains. Does anyone have any suggestions? I was wondering if i could use the green to blue package sold at WalMart? Thanks for any help

Don't use Green to Blue, that is for something else completely and could cause problems.

Try placing a Vitamin C tablet against one of the stained spots and see if that has any effect.

Thanks for the Vitamin C solution. I will certainly let you know if it works. Can you do it without having to drain your pool?

Buy some Vit C tablets lay one on the stain. If it lifts, you need to do a Vit C treatment. Use the "search" feature on this board to look up vitamin c or ascorbic acid.

aasbury, thank u so much for the hint on Vit C i will certainly give it a try this weekend, maybe by then the rain will have stopped.
