Liner pulled away from skimmer.

After the DH decided to drain and clean the pool this year, and left it empty too long , in the process the liner pulled away from the bottom of the skimmer about 1/2". We used silicone a couple weeks ago and it was doing fine till yesterday. Any suggestions on a better way to repair other than silicone?

Can you post a pic of it?

A large patch might work. Just cover the entire skimmer with it and then trim the hole out after replacing the skimmer face plate.

I can try and post a pic, but it has alot of silicone around it right now. I drained below this skimmer yesterday, filled in some holes with silicone and refilled overnight. Still leaking bad this morning. Wish I had read your reply before refilling! The patch sounds like a better idea. Thanks Bama Rambler.
