Add Salt light on during Super Chlorinate

Hi there.

I pressed the super chlorinate button on my zodiac lw2-24 and the add salt light came on immediately and is still on (10 mins after turning on super chlorinate).

Is this normal? The reading of salt is 4000ppm but the FC is 0.1. All 5 lights are on on the display output though.

You should add chlorine manually when shocking the pool. Proper shocking requires bringing up the FC level quickly, something a SWG is not designed to do.

The pool has been shocked already. I'm trying to use the swg to add chlorine to the pool. Will that ruin the swg?

If you are done shocking then my comment does not apply. On the other hand if FC is 0.1, I can't see how you could be done with shocking.

I've heard that bleach works well. Do you recommend I do that?

i use bleach when i shock with my swg

i never use the super chlorinate feature on it, dont want to wear it out

what percentage is it set to and how long is it running for?
