Is it OK for CC to go to 1 while a group is swimming? I checked earlier today and got 0 CC. It is now at around 1. Is the increase due to bodies, sunscreen, etc. in the water?

Yes, As long as you have adequate FC available. Not a bad idea to elevate the FC with a few ppm of FC shortly after the swim and you will likely get rid of the 1.0 cc and not really be required to shock the pool.
Sometimes I will even bump the FC up 1 or 2 prior to the swim party's arrival. Helps me to stay ahead of things.
