pool pump and timer selection

I have a new inground pool install underway. I have a hayward 1.5hp super pump dual speed and need to know what kind of timer to go with it that will automatically switch between high and low. I guess another question is do I need the timer to control this or can I just manually switch speeds when needed. I will also have a SWG and is there anything special that needs to be considered with the dual speed pump. I will have a single speed pump for the pool cleaner. Any suggestions are much appreciated.

Look at the Intermatic lineup. Model depends if your pump is 120V or 240V
You will need 2 timer dials, but there are boxes that will hold both.

Assuming it is 240V, I think you need a T104 and a T106. Search the site as I am sure this has been discussed.

The Intermatic PE-1353 will handle the 2-speed and the cleaner pump.
