I think our solar cover was a major source of the difficulty I had passing the OCLT after having passed it a few days earlier. I suspect that algae was starting to bloom, and it didn't help that I kept the pool covered the entire week, although I was monitoring my FC levels and shocking to try to get past the OCLT. The cover is on a reel. Is there a good way to really clean it? I don't have a concrete deck, but I was thinking of unrolling it on my lawn and really hosing it down with water and bleach. But I am concerned that will ultimately result in adding more junk to the pool after I roll the cover back up and the unroll it on my pool.

flip cover over & back over pool at shock level&leave on it will cleean it very well..Work's for me
I'd bring the pool to shock level and put the cover on and sink it the best you can with a brush or vacuum head for a few hours.
