Intex Sand Filter and saltwater system

Hey guys
I'm not really experienced with pool chemicals. So my question is. Since I have the Intex sand filter with saltwater system installed can you guys let me know what should be mine weekly check up? What should I worry about the most. Right now I know the pH is to high but I will take care of that tonight.

Oh boy. I will need to redo the test again then. I'm using the test strips that came with my Intex saltwater system. And the pH "square" is dark pink so I assume the pH is to high since the pink color is not on the chart.
What is the best chemical testing kit for the pool? Do you recommend any?

I recommend the TF-100 test kit from tftestkits. I also recommend the Speedstir if you can swing it. You won't regret getting it. And since you have a swcg I also recommend you get a bottle of salt test strips.
