First water test readings

I purchased the Complete (FAS-DPD) kit from Leslie's as recommended. I am looking for suggestions based on my first readings.

We have a 30,000 gal pool with a vinyl liner.

FC 0.2ppm
CC 0.4 ppm
pH 7.8
TA 150 ppm
CH 250 ppm
CYA 30 ppm

I am using the BBB method!

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Chlorine!

You should be hanging around 4ppm, and never go below 2ppm. Once you get that, then add some acid to drop your pH to 7.4.

Long term, you might want to follow the Lowering Total Alkalinity article in Pool School, but it's not urgent.

You'll probably have better luck with your CYA around 40ppm.
