Name is Jim.From New York and first year pool owner.24'rd. 54 " tall.After tossing the Pristine blue the pool store sold my wife I told her my new recipe for a sparkling pool.After some research I went with TFP and BBB method.Heres the numbers. FC 5.0 ppm
TA 100
CC 0
CYNA 40
CH. 230
Borates 50
PH. 7.5
I used Proteam supreme plus for the borates.It did raise the TA from100 to 160.After a few cycles of Muriatic acid and aeration I'm back to 100.Everyone asks how I got the water so nice I say Chlorox.Thanks for the wealth of information.

Its amazing how difficult the pool stores make pool care maintenance.I went to Leslie pools looking for Borate test strips.Asked an employee and his response was "whats a borate".I turned around and left.
