Pool Timer wont turn for pool sweep side only

The Dial stopped moving on the sweeper pool pump timer. Any fixes for this? Do i have to replace both timers in the box?

You can buy a replacement timer motor for it.

DOES THAT REPLACE THE WHOLE THING INCLUDING THE MOTOR? HOW CAN I TELL HOW MANY VOLTS IT IS.

I AM BUYING ONE FOR MY DAD TOO, HIS DOES THE SAME THING. HIS MOTOR SAYS MODEL WG433 AND IS 208/277V

Or is the motor good since it will run when it is pushed to the right and this is just replacing the mechanism

Still not sure if the fact that it doesn't turn is a mechanism issue or a motor issue. i can get anew motor for $18 at Grainger. Should i try that before replacing the mechanism?

It's almost always the motor when the dial doesn't turn. I'd try the motor first. You can try looking at the motor spindle gear and see if it's turning. Be warned that it turns very very slow.

That was it. Replaced the motor in 5 mins and working like new. Thanks for the help!

Glad it was an easy fix. And you didn't have to replace the whole timer.
