Del Ozone Eclipse

Our Eclipse system isn't working currently, and we are in contact with the company. They have been helpful trying to work out the problem. In the meantime, is there anything that could go wrong with the plumbing, pumps, water chemistry etc since it's all tied together. Our Polaris booster pump went out about two months later, so we're wondering if it's connected in any way or just bad luck for us. It's all 15 months old. Just out of warranty, of course.

Welcome to TFP!

The equipment problems might both be due to an electrical surge from a nearby lightning strike. The only way to prevent that is a whole house surge protecter installed in the main panel, and even that doesn't always work. Of course, it might just be coincidence.

Assuming this is a residential pool, nothing should change when the ozone system is off, or you might actually need less chlorine.
