Keeping worms out of the pool

Does anyone have a suggestion to keep worms out of the pool. Parts of the decking around the pool are only three feet. After some rainy days..the pool test to fill up with worms...

Any simple solutions...or just keep sweeping them up...

I have used "home defense" from Ortho around the outer perimeter of the concrete around my pool to keep snails and other bugs away. It works for about a month or two.. then reapply..

Worms

I have heard that if you add lime to your soil extending out about ten feet from your deck that it will solve the problem.

Because we have pets and it is supposed to be safer for them, we use Sevin dust. We sprinkle it around the edge of the pool and around the foundation of our house. It keeps the creepy stuff out. We apply it several times a season.
