Too much chlorine produced

Hi all,

I have a AquaBlue SWG installed in my pool and have recently come up with a strange problem
FC content goes skyrocketing, well above 3ppm that is no matter where the adjusting dial is set. Have experimented enough, kept the SWG system off for a couple of days, the FC went to zero but two days after running SWG again the FC went over 3ppm.

Anyone have any idea of what could be wrong?

The system is two years old, cell have been cleaned ok, salt level is 3500ppm, pH 7.2

Welcome to TFP.

How long are you running the swcg? Adjusting run time, along with percentage is the best way to adjust the FC you're putting in the pool.

What is your CYA level?

I run the swcg for 8 hours per day. CYA is at 40

I'd cut the run time back a little at the time until you see a change.

How many gallons is your pool? I'd adjust the % setting, but let it run a few days before changing it. Start lower then where you're set to now and make small incremental changes.

Could run it a bit back lets say 4 hours per day to see if chl changes.
As for the percentage, tt already runs at the lowest possible percentage, can't lower it any more.
The pool is 10000 gallons by the way
